The Looksha II is constructed of Kevlar. This one is in top notch condition - and has an upgrade - the SmartTrack rudder system The SmartTrack system includes modern "gas pedal" style foot braces. With the "gas pedal" style system, the pedals are fixed, and the top of the pedal pivots to move the rudder. This means the paddler can have complete edge control and use the fixed pedals for rolling and efficient forward strokes. The original foot pedals moved back and forth to steer the rudder - paddlers often complained about a lack of firm pedals for edging and rolling.
The Looksha II, at over 20ft length, is a speed merchant. And, it can carry a lot of gear for expeditions. Two hatches with bulkheads, deck elastics and owner-installed perimeter lines complete the package. The cockpit opening is tight but larger paddlers can get in underneath it.
