Tiderace Xceed G-Gore N7
The Tiderace Xceed G-Core N7 sea kayak is a state of the art touring kayak. Highly refined, efficient and stable, with ample storage capacity for expeditions, it will deliver years of pleasure. Tiderace engineers employed specialized hydrodynamic software to design hull shapes that can cruise at 4+ knots whilst being relatively stable and maneuverable. The cockpit features an updated paddling position yielding a commanding posture for dynamic paddling.
Its weight at 55 lbs. is lighter than previous generation fiberglass sea kayaks, derived from Vacuum Infused Heat Cured Epoxy Construction. The standard size Xceed is for paddlers weighing 165 - 210 lbs.
Construction
G-Core, the bedrock of the Tiderace constructions, much stronger than competitors' standard boats.
- Multi-axial glass cloth encapsulates the resin supported core material
- Extra localized reinforcing is employed in high stress areas
- Vacuum-infused, heat-cured epoxy
The hull and deck join consists of a full epoxy laminate overlap on both inner and outer surfaces to give the strongest join possible. The outer surface is then gelcoated and polished for an immaculate, seam free finish – a first in sea kayak construction.
