Stellar S16 G3 Multi-Sport Touring Kayak with Custom Keel Strip
The Stellar S16 G3 Multi-Sport Touring Kayak is an elongated version of the highly popular S15LV model, with increased gear storage, plus improved stability and efficiency. The cockpit rim and seat position make for easier back deck rolling, and a glove box hatch adds convenience for storing smaller essentials.
This S16 G3 has the light and tough multi-sport construction. Added strength and lighter than Advantage. To further durability it has a custom installed keel strip.
The Stellar S16 G3 has many features of the second generation with further enhancements. Stellar added .5” of width for increased stability and a deeper keel with more concavity to improve tracking when the rudder is not deployed. These hull improvements help the S16 G3 appeal to a wider range of ability. A more slender bow and stern retain the efficiency of this hull while keeping its stability. Ergonomic rubber carry handles improve comfort when on land to and from the car, or during a portage on a trip.
This popular model offers plenty of efficiency for acceleration and effortless all day touring. It has a SmartTrack rudder for tracking. Fore- aft- and glove box hatches. Deck elastics for your gear and perimeter lines for safety. Adjustable SmartTrack footbraces. Grippy thigh braces.
Multi-Sport Construction
Single skin laminate hull made of Carbon & Kevlar® fabric, with clear gelcoat finish, and the deck is the standard Advantage construction. The hull is designed to be flexible and durable, but creates a stiff boat that can take some abuse in the class I and II rapids and shallows, but is also at home in the ocean or the flats. The Surf Ski Multi-Sport construction comes standard with an over-stern rudder.
