The Mocean Kayaks Ranger Day Touring Kayak melds performance sea kayak features with forgiving recreational kayak attributes. Its fourteen foot length gives it sea kayak efficiency, plus its grippy thigh braces enable crisp edging, and the skeg keeps it tracking in the wind. The generous 23.5" width gives it lots of stability. Its most innovative feature is its hull. Up front is a shallow smooth V edge which becomes more sharp aft of midships. This feature delivers playful performance aspiring paddlers will quickly discover and enable them to more fully explore the fun of paddling. This is a feature experienced paddlers will appreciate.
A roomy cockpit allows for comfortable entry and exit, making the Ranger ideal for relaxed day paddles, while the longer waterline adds efficiency when covering distance or paddling in more open water.
Sea kayak features include sealed hatches for and aft plus a handy day hatch right in front of the cockpit. Deck elastics, static perimeter lines, performance outfitting and the skeg complete the kit.
We expect to see Rangers exploring Klamath Lake, taking campers along Ross Lake, and playing the surf zone at Pacific City.
