The Scout from Mocean Kayak and Canoes is a great lightweight recreational kayak. It has dependable stability without sacrificing on water speed, making it a great beginner to intermediate flatwater touring option. The Scout features two bulkheads with large molded hatches, big enough that you could do small overnight trips if you desired. They also have a custom formed seat that is very comfortable, especially with the larger sized cockpit the Scout has. This used Scout is a good affordable option for anyone looking for their first kayak. Used 2025 demo model.
