Eddyline Fathom
The Eddyline Fathom sea kayak is a great boat for touring. Featuring hard chines mid hull, the fathom tracks well and has ample secondary stability allowing easy to control edge turning. Constructed of lightweight ABS plastic it is lighter than other plastic boats this size. Outfitted with three hatches with bulkheads, deck elastics and perimeter lines, the Fathom has everything needed for extended journeys. Its skeg is deployable in small increments to fine-tuning in any condition to reduce weathercocking in crosswinds and increase tracking in current.
Note: The seat back comes in two options. Choice of high back seat or backband.
Construction
Eddyline Kayaks are constructed using a thermoforming process using their proprietary Carbonlite ABS plastic. This results in kayaks with the following positive characteristics:
- Glossy finish (resembling gel-coated fiberglass kayaks)
- Lighter weight than polyethylene
- Superior UV protection
- Abrasion resistant
- Resistant to heat distortion
