Want a kayak for some fun in the sun?

The Zydeco 9 by Dagger is a stable, fun, and easy to paddle recreational kayak. What we like best about the kayak is the trimmed deck in front of the cockpit. This allows for easier strokes for different sized paddlers. At home on quite lakes, ponds, and slow moving rivers.

We have also found the kayak to be fast while tracking relatively well for a shorter kayak. If you are looking for a light boat and simple then the Zydeco is a great solution.

Being new to kayaking I was a bit nervous about being trapped and also wanted a ride that was really stable.

I found both in the Zydeco! Its cockpit is roomy and I never felt I'd have trouble exiting if need be. The seat back provided lots of support. And if I tried tipping it, the Zydeco actually resisted - like it was saying "I want to be rock solid straight up!"

Turning was a really simple affair. It loves to spin around. The only negative I can think of is it's not quick going straight ahead. It's pushing a lot of water.

Bottom line: If you're looking for something light, easy and stable, this Zydeco works.
