Comfort with a low profile, Aug 29, 2010

I purchased this PFD several weeks after Astral released the Willis. So far it has been one of my favorite PFD's to wear. The bad thing about the vest is that it is a side entry, but really it is not a big deal if you are use to it. Once the vest is on and adjusted the foam is lower and hardly noticed when paddling. It doesn't get in the way for rolling and allows me to move freely. I also like the clean front side for climbing on boats and rafts.

I have purchased a few other vest that I wear and have used this vest as a loner. The great thing about the Willis is that most anyone will fit the vest that is smaller than myself. I Let me little brother use it for dragon boating and it let him perform better due to the openess around the arms.

Seriously a great vest if you want a simple, but effective vest for any type of kayaking!

The Perfect PFD, Apr 20, 2010

In the past few years I have owned about 3 other
Astral PFD�s and have loved them all. With
paddling 3-4 days a week I concluded this last
summer it would be wise to upgrade to another
quality PFD from Astral. After trying a few
different PFD�s on, I found the new Astral Willis
to be the best fit. When wearing the Willis it
fits perfectly and gives me all the range of
motion needed for any paddling I have put it
through. From day kayaking on flat water to Class
5+ Whitewater, it has performed flawlessly while
being comfortable. This is mainly due to the foam
tectonics which move freely and separately from
each other within the PFD. Do yourself a favor and
get this PFD from Astral.
